Access to Tines Capital’s investment algorithms is at your fingertips. This page will walk you through each of the things you must do before you can participate in Tines Capital’s investment opportunities. It is recommended that you have a minimum of either $25,000 to start or can commit to saving $500 a month towards your investments. If you don’t meet this threshold we ask you to wait until you can.

Overview

  1. Submit your contact information, declare interest, and consent to Tines Capital contacting you.
  2. Open and fund an investment account with Interactive Brokers.
  3. Sign our Client Agreement
  4. Give us Authorization to make trades in your Interactive Brokers invetment account(s).
  5. Let your money go to work for you.

Step 1: Tell Us Who You Are

By submitting your contact information, you let us know you are interested and we will be sure to keep the process moving forward for you.

Step 2: Open Your Investment Account

Before we will consider managing investments for you, you must have an open and funded Interactive Brokers investment account. If you require assistance you can watch this tutorial or reach out to Interactive Brokers directly using ibkr.comYou can follow this video as a guide for the account application.

  • When prompted you must select “Pro” not “Lite” for your investment accounts.
  • When prompted you should select margin not a cash account type. This allows proceeds from the sale of securities to be used sooner in purchasing new securities. This prevents you from missing out on trades.
  • If you already have an account with Interactive Brokers meeting these requirements you can proceed to step 3.

Step 3: Apply to Become a Tines Capital Client

Having an account at Interactive Brokers does not automatically make you a Tines Capital client. To become one you must meet our requirements, sign our disclosures, and be ready to start investing.

Step 4: Give Permission to Trade Your Account

If you are approved to work with Tines Capital we will reach out with instructions on how you can ask Interactive Brokers to give Tines Capital trade access for your brokerage account(s).

Step 5: Let Your Money Work for You

A huge part of investing is being patient and consistent over decades. So don’t get discouraged when there is a bad year. Stay consistent, patient, and react based on data – not emotion.
